SFMS Student Council

"StuCo" at Spring Forest is an active and award winning council. The members perform community service, participate in many charitable events such as Relay for Life, Pennies for Patients, and JDRF. The council fosters school spirit through dances, spirit items and advisory class and grade level competitions. Faculty and staff appreciation is also a big part of our activities.

All students are encouraged to participate in Student Council.  6th grade elections are held in mid-September.

National Junior Honor Society

Members of The National Junior Honor Society of Spring Forest Middle School are chosen at the end of 7th grade. They are students that are committed to holding themselves to high standards academically and to setting an example in the classrooms with good conduct and leadership abilities.

NJHS meets once a month before school. NJHS members participate in many activities, including painting the Bobcat paws on the circular drive, adopting needy families for the holidays, and helping with teacher appreciation breakfasts and luncheons. Along with Student Council we help host events such as the Veteran's Day assembly. We assist area elementary schools by volunteering for school carnivals and math nights.

Applications for 7th graders are available in April each year. Students must have an overall average of 85 in each class during 6th and 7th grade and and a history of good behavior. Members will be expected to do 10 service hours per semester in 8th grade, maintain all their grades above 80, not have any N's or U's in conduct and participate in NJHS activities.
