CTEF - "Commitment to Excellence Fund"
What is it? CTEF is a group of parents and teachers that form a committee to accept, review and prioritize funding requests for items (tangible and non-tangible) to be used to enrich the overall experience of the students, staff and community of SFMS.
Who can apply for funding from CTEF? SFMS teachers, administrators, parents, and PTA.
How many times per year does CTEF meet? Generally once or twice per year.
How can I be a part of the committee? Submit your name and contact information before March 1st to Dana Smejkal, our 2022-2023 CTEF Chairman.
Where do the funds come from? The funds come from our Spring Auction or other fundraising efforts (after operating budget obligations have been met).
What has been approved and purchased in the past? Information Kiosk for the front office, replacement instruments and equipment for Orchestra and Band, Chromebooks, audio/visual equipment for the Auditorium, landscaping at the front drive, benches, pavers and landscaping around the flagpole, balls for Health/Fitness, scorer's table for the gym, and life size Bobcat to be decorated in the Art department and displayed out front.
