The arts – and the National PTA Reflections program – support student success and serve as a valuable tool for building strong partnerships in your school community. Celebrate arts learning in your school community with Reflections.
Each year, over 300,000 students in Pre-K through Grade 12 create original works of art in response a student-selected theme. The theme for the 2025- 2026 program year is "I Belong". Students submit their completed works of art in one or all of the available arts categories:
Solo & Ensemble
Animation, Narrative, Documentary, Experimental, or Multimedia
Prose, Poetry, Drama, Reflective Essay, Narrative, Short Story
All music styles and combo of instrumentation
Single Print/Digital Media
Original print, Drawing, Painting, Collage, Metal Etching, Fiber Work, Computer Generated Artwork
Eligible to students receiving IDEA or ADA services
Student winners from the local level have the opportunity to move up through the district, region, council, and state PTA programs to the national level. National Reflections winners are announced in May. National PTA then collects and curates the traveling exhibit for the next year. To learn more, visit the Awards Page.
